MiniTreks Maps for Chelmsford, Mass. (USA)

The Chelmsford trail stewards have worked diligently over the past few years, and as of early 2011 the planned trail systems are complete. Some of Chelmsford's trails are specifically outfitted for mountain biking (see Russell Mill, for example). The stewards have supplied me with most of the GPS data here (and some whole maps). Thanks, guys!

Google Earth gives you better tools for measuring the length of a planned hike.

First obtain the software (downloadable for free from www.googleearth.com).

Right click on Temporary Places, pull down add, then network link, and paste the following into the "link" space:

There is also another Google Earth map for Chelmsford which shows all the parcel boundaries for the various conservation areas, along with their abutters. This is a big file - it takes a minute to load but it's pretty sprightly after that. Google Maps won't load this file - too big.
